快樂的定義

快樂的定義是什麽？

昨晚回家的路途談了許多，感觸良多。

是敢問有多少人能爲了理想而放棄一切，並且提起許多的勇氣面對世人的眼光和未來的沉重包袱。我十分佩服那些爲了理想而辤掉高薪白領的工作人士。

我仍然深愛哲學， 生活上的思想及奧妙。但如果我把理想與興趣放入現代社會的教育放程式裏，那我的興趣可能就從此流失吧。

從前聼過一句話；理想不能儅飯吃。雖然如此，我仍然會追求理想，只是時間未到吧。

但我還是深信這句話；知足才是最大的富有。


今早收到電郵：
A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which said: 'I am blind, please help.' There were only a few coins in the hat.

A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words.Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were. The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, 'Were you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write?'

The man said, 'I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a different way. What he had written was: 'Today is a beautiful day and I cannot see it.

Do you think the first sign and the second sign were saying the same thing? Of course both signs told people the boy was blind. But the first sign simply said the boy was blind. The second sign told people they were so lucky that they were not blind. Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective?

Moral of the Story: Be thankful for what you have. Be creative. Be innovative. Think differently and positively.

Invite others towards good with wisdom. Live life with no excuse and love with no regrets. When life gives you a 100 reasons to cry, show life that you have 1000 reasons to smile. Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear. Keep the faith and drop the fear. [ 這是我能一直快樂的原因。=) ]

Great men say, 'Life has to be an incessant process of repair and reconstruction, of discarding evil and developing goodness. In the journey of life, if you want to travel without fear, you must have the ticket of a good conscience.

The most beautiful thing is to see a person smiling. And even more beautiful is, knowing that you are the reason behind it!!!

QJ's drunk!

cleared my math tutorials.... and met up with QJ for lunch at parkway. rain rain rain. whole day been raining.

went katong shopping mall to bind my notes. where are all the binding services ard my house???

and end up..... buying more jeans for myself haha! (QJ bought too.)

amazing fact of the day.... QJ can actually get "drunk" eating the tiramisu tat i made yesterday. although there's baileys inside... isnt it abit too 夸张？

no wonder she can get drunk by jus eating XO beehoon -.- (she told me and i dun believe. now... yeap u seriously cant touch hard liquor)

tiramisu taste nice and for a first timer... woohoo i succeeded haha. love making tiramisu ahaha cos... in the midst of making... i went to drink up the baileys instead haha!

DSTA Buddies Outing

woohoo... last nite went to party with the buddies. Met up with our 老祖宗 too! haha (yadong n joseph's senior buddy)

Me, yadong, joseph, xin yi, cheryl, chee ching and michelle.... first time "party" with them end up reaching home 1plus am... ON A THURS NITE.... wad nice timing.

so... jus have to wait for photos from Xin Yi!

anywayz... great fun hanging out with them... thanks joseph and yadong for the treat!



woke up dis morning super blur.... reached sch jus in time for lecture. (Oh thanks for the "wake up call" too although u 2 din have to call)

okie i consider myself lucky.... cos at least i have days whereby i can go home at 1 or 2pm on thur and friday as well as mondays (odd weeks)




i'm super tired now. reached home at 10pm. now waiting for qj to be online and check for her balloting.

i miss them

din wanted to blog. but.... i cant help it but to say "I MISS U GUYS"



Them.. refers to my poly male frens who are all now serving the nation. yeap... i miss them lots cos 98% of my closest frens are guys. (2% refers to fana n san haha beta mention their names =P)

it's not some random tots but becos jhon is talking to me on msn now.
jhon, mc and me.... same CP class, same lecture/tut class, same specialization and same cca for the whole of 3years in my poly life.

so sad... i got the monday (even week) labs instead of the thurs labs. there goes my lunch time.

monday's lessons from 10am (maybe 9am if i get monday tuitorial slot) all the way till 5pm (or maybe earlier) on even weeks.

so end up i go sch every thurs for jus a 2hrs lecture.

1st day of sch

okie... sch start was supposed to be fun. indeed i had a "fun" morning -.-

was at bouna vista at 9.15am waiting for bus 95 end up waiting until 10am before i could board the bus. (bus was so slow and so crowded!) black list tat place.

so i reached central library at 10.15am and "tried" walking over to my LT (lect was at 10am so i'm late!) okie... got lost instead. Jus nice my buddy sms me "Hey buddies! Start of the new sem. strive hard and all the best! See ya around in sch"

wahhaa my survivor, so this wad i replied him "Ya and i'm supposed to be in your lecture now and i'm like lost? haha wad a way to start my school day"

so he called me, asked me where am i. but i really dunno except knowing tat i'm lost? haha engine school is so uneven (built on hillside?)

and he left the LT and came looking for me. when he brought me to the LT, i realised he walked a long distance jus to find me! Must thank him one day haha and he was perspiring like mad. I am so fortunate! haha...

lecture was boring. cos it wasnt a proper lesson... looking forward to tmr's lecture. pray hard i wun get lost. if not... poor joseph. =P

lunch with qj and jo at sci faculty. food's not bad. went to central library with qj after jo left. wad a day.

woohoo! forget abt the paiseh incident! luckily i checked my TP mail... (yes it is still functioning) and i'm gonna be featured on T.eNG which is a magazine distributed to secondary schools! wahaha! Tanjong Katong Secondary School!

wahahhaa... i'm happy not becos i'm gonna be featured on the mag (okie lah abit la) but becos it's my favourite school! no matter where i go or wad i see, everytime i see TK name i feel so proud and so happy! Proud to be a TKsian!

mine will be the third newsletter to be prepared for my alma mater... looked thru the previous 2... and one common thing i saw. all thanked mr koh tong seah! haha. i shall follow their footsteps too... D&T rox!

i wanna strangle.....

wahz... i feel like strangling MY SCHOOL. okie my happy is gone. WTS.

timetable clashes here and there yesterday settled it. today allocated my english module after i bidded all my core?! how to fit in!? shldn't they allocate since the first day of Round 1C.

allocated lecture i have is different from the lecture schedule on the engine webby? HUH HUH HUH??? so which one to follow?

called them for an hour plus be4 someone picks up the stupid phone and they dun even know which one is more updated! SIANZ. Interesting info they told me... i can drop the allocated english module since it clashes with my core lecture. Woah.... i tot allocated cannot drop one, how "flexible" can they be?

okie so now i'm like waiting for their email. better response fast. so sianz to imagine i have go thru this shit for the next 5SEMESTERS! OH GOD. i gonna go SEP and run away from this stupid thing for at least a semester!

shopping spree!

wahhaaha jus came back from shopping spree at Far East Plaza with fana n QJ

nice thai food at a resturant = 12 bucks

2 belts, 1 dress and a top = 60plus bucks? haha lazy to go check again

conclusion (from fana): no shopping for the next 2-3 months LOL


expenditure rating: QJ spent the MOST! followed by fana den ME wahahhaha! QJ pls wear the girly clothes u bought. if not it's such a waste and it's time for a make over! wahahha yeah man.... change her entire closet.

Target: a brand new QJ when the new term starts! woohoo!


so i'm quite tired already. shall slp soon. have to wake up early early to email NUS regarding my QUESTIONS!
